Bertha Mae Williams Foundation
About Us
The Bertha Mae Williams Foundation grew out of a cherished memory for a mother who died young in the very early, formative years of her children. Bertha Mae Williams, a mother of five, was an unselfish woman who gave freely to her family and the community.
Her kindness inspired reciprocal results in all who came in contact with her. Bertha Mae Williams so inspired her son that in her memory he created a foundation that supports organizations that provide valuable services which strengthen individuals, thus strengthen communities.
The Bertha Mae Williams Foundation, Inc. is a New York based national human services foundation whose mission is to support community-based educational, social, health and human services organizations.
We assist in juvenile crime prevention, domestic violence awareness, prevention and intervention, and criminal justice programs. Of particular importance to the Foundation is a future project to support children diagnosed with life threatening brain cancer by improving the health and augmentation of patient care for those who do not have adequate means of financial support.
The Foundation is mainly funded by private donations from caring and concerned friends like you. We also seek public funding to fulfill the mission and objectives of The Foundation.
