The Bertha Mae Williams Foundation is a national human services foundation whose mission is to support community-based educational, social, health, and human services organizations.
We assist in juvenile crime prevention services, suicide prevention and mental health counseling. We also assist in domestic violence awareness, prevention and intervention, bullying prevention and criminal justice programs.
We currently offer a Domestic Violence Awareness Program (including Teen Dating and Relationship Abuse), a Peer Leadership Program for young adults, an individual and family counseling program, and a Job Readiness Program for under-served members of our community. Two years ago, we opened Nettie Angeline Family Living, our first sober house, which served families during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to these these services, we assist veterans and their families with counseling and sober living housing.
Our professional staff is available to offer guidance and information designed to equip individuals with strategies to breakdown barriers and find solutions for challenges they face.
